About Automotive Chronicles

The road writes better stories when we slow down to read them

For over a decade, we've chased engine notes down backroads, documented restorations in drafty garages, and chronicled the people who keep car culture alive. This is our story.

About

A garage-born idea that kept growing

Automotive Chronicles started in 2014 as a newsletter shared between three friends restoring a tired 1972 Datsun in a borrowed workshop. The stories we wrote for each other eventually became stories for everyone who loved cars as more than transportation.

Eight years, 441 articles, and countless dusty test drives later, we remain an independent voice for drivers who see the road as a place to think, feel, and belong somewhere real.

Our Values

Honest Reporting

No press releases rewritten. Every review comes from seat time, every opinion from a writer who actually cared.

Story-First Coverage

Cars are characters. We write about the people, places, and history that make machines mean something.

Independent Voice

No manufacturer dollars shape our coverage. Our readers, not advertisers, fund the work we publish.

A great road doesn't just take you somewhere. It teaches you who you are when the radio's off and the windows are down.
