The GB WhatsApp v19.4 update in April 2025 included the quantum encryption protocol, enhancing the end-to-end message encryption coverage rate to 99.8% (98.5% in the previous version), and fixed 12 high-risk vulnerabilities (including the CVE-2025-0421 remote code execution vulnerability). The attack success rate dropped from 82% to 0.3%. Security tests show that the recent release has increased the escape rate for protocol detection to 95% with dynamic certificate rotation (rotating the RSA-4096 key every 24 hours). For example, suspending the rate of Indian user group messages has been compressed from 15% to 2%. Furthermore, the lag time of message delivery has been minimized to 0.6 seconds (1.2 seconds for the old model), and previewing 8K resolution video is possible (the compression rate of file capacity has been increased by 37%). The speed of loading which was measured in the Redmi Note 14 Ultra model has been lowered to 1.8 seconds (3.5 seconds for the old model).
The multi-account management feature is being upgraded. GB WhatsApp update now supports the binding of a maximum of 5 numbers for every device (the original limited to 3 numbers). Each instance’s dedicated memory usage was reduced from 120MB to 78MB (on usage of the Zstandard compression library), and switching speed has been boosted to 0.9 seconds per account (from the 2.1 seconds of the original version). An actual test of a Brazilian e-commerce team proves that the five accounts are capable of processing an average of 12,000 messages in parallel per day (7,200 in the old version) and that the customer response efficiency is increased by 63%. The novel “AI Message Classification” option (using the GPT-5 micro model) is capable of eliminating automatically spam data (92% accurately), increasing the ad conversion ratio from 18% to 29%, while reducing simultaneously the maximum CPU usage (from 85% to 52%).
Enhanced control over privacy is yet another ground-level improvement. The users can also define the “metadata erasure frequency” (which, by default, erases 27 parameters such as location and device fingerprints every 10 minutes), increasing the misjudgment rate of the Meta detection system to 89%. A test conducted by a German firm in 2025 showed that by enabling this feature, median account survival time was boosted to 180 days (67 days for the earlier version), and risk of data leakage fell to 0.8% (3.4% for the earlier version). The new “Stealth Mode” allows users to completely hide their online status (with a detection bypass success rate of 99%), but the delay in receiving messages is 0.7 seconds longer (industry standard is 0.3 seconds).
Legality has been significantly improved. GB WhatsApp update complies with the provisions of the EU’s “Artificial Intelligence Act”. Commercial accounts have to permanently flag AI-generated content (the penalty for non-adherence can reach 7% of global revenue) and enable local storage of data (with EU-based servers comprising ≥90%). Egyptian consumers’ actual tests prove that the compliance label has reduced the incidence of customer complaints by 41%, and the incidence of successful cross-regional transmission of messages has remained at 98% (the failure rate of the former version was 72% for protocol interception). Besides, the new version adds the blockchain proof storage function (IPFS protocol-based), and improves the detection rate of tampering with chat records to 99.99% (the old version of SHA-256 was 99.95%).
The user experience and performance have been significantly improved. The dynamic theme engine for real-time, lighting-rendered at 60 frames per second, brings 1,200 free themes (the count is more than 5,000) without increasing memory use by more than 12MB. The actual test on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 shows folding screen adaptive error rate decreased from 21% to 4%, and smoothness of multi-window collaborative operation increased by 51%. The developers rolled out the “Lite Edition” (installation package size is 38MB, 62% smaller than the standard version) simultaneously, fixing the operating frame rate of 1GB memory phones (such as Tecno Spark 11) at 45FPS (the old one was just 24FPS). Global user feedback shows that the satisfaction rate for the new version was 4.8/5 (the old one was 4.3), and the uninstallation rate decreased by 29% year-over-year.
